Salary: R48 per hour, variable annual bonus of R500/ premium pay on nights / weekends and occasional overtime opportunities

HGS South Africa is looking for driven and customer-focused Sales Agents to join our on-site team in Woodstock, Cape Town, to support this service.

 

This is a fast-paced role where you will handle inbound sales inquiries from customers who are actively looking to set up or switch their home services. Every caller has already expressed interest in finding the right provider, and your role is to understand their needs, explain their options, and help them make the best choice. The goal is to guide customers through the process efficiently and close the sale in one interaction whenever possible. Sales Agents handle an average of 20-40 calls per day, with a target conversion rate of 30-40%. Every call you handle is from a customer actively looking for home services, meaning there is no cold calling or outbound prospecting—each interaction is a genuine opportunity to close a sale.

  • Handle inbound sales inquiries, quickly establishing rapport and identifying customer needs.
  • Deliver a consultative sales approach, ensuring tailored recommendations based on the customer's specific requirements.
  • Effectively communicate product benefits, pricing, and service details to influence purchasing decisions.
  • Overcome objections using active listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to secure a commitment.
  • Achieve and exceed sales conversion targets, ensuring a high close rate on first contact.
  • Process transactions and input customer details accurately into the CRM system, ensuring compliance with all documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Adapt to real-time business needs, prioritising high-value sales opportunities efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and promotions, adjusting recommendations based on availability and customer suitability.
  • Work collaboratively within a high-performance sales team, contributing to overall success through knowledge sharing and feedback.
  • Adhere to all compliance, quality assurance, and service standards, ensuring ethical sales practices.
