Are you passionate about people and compliance, with a knack for building strong workplace relationships? At HGS, our HR Officers are the backbone of our Human Resources function, ensuring smooth operations and a positive employee experience in a fast-paced Contact Centre environment.

In this role, you’ll manage everything from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and statutory reporting. You’ll be the trusted advisor who guides managers and employees through HR policies, labour law compliance, and disciplinary processes, while driving initiatives that boost engagement and retention. What we are looking for: 

  • Do you have experience in HR within a Contact Centre or BPO environment supporting 250+ employees?
  • Are you confident navigating South African labour laws and handling disciplinary processes, including CCMA?
  • Can you manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality?
  • Do you have strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with employees and managers at all levels?
  • Do you hold a relevant HR qualification or certification?

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a BPO/Contact Centre environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or HR-related certification.
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies.
  • Must be based in Cape Town, as this is an on-site role.
