Job Title: Technical Lead – Microsoft Fabric (Analytics & Data Engineering)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Lead with 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, and BI, with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric. The role will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of modern data platforms, enabling scalable analytics, real-time insights, and AI-ready data foundations across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Data Platform Leadership
- Act as the Data Lead for solutions built on Microsoft Fabric.
- Own end-to-end data architecture, solution design, and delivery for analytics platforms.
- Define data standards, best practices, and governance aligned with enterprise needs.
Microsoft Fabric – Hands-on Responsibilities
- Design and implement data solutions using Microsoft Fabric components, including:
- OneLake
- Lakehouse
- Warehouse
- Data Pipelines
- Dataflows Gen2
- Real-Time Analytics (KQL)
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
- Implement medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) in Fabric.
- Ensure performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalability of Fabric workloads.
Analytics & Visualization
- Design and deliver Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards integrated with Fabric.
- Enable self-service analytics while maintaining governance and data quality.
- Collaborate with business teams to translate data into actionable insights.
Data Modeling & Engineering
- Lead data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling).
- Ensure strong data quality, validation, and lineage practices.
- Work with large datasets and optimize query performance.
Governance, Security & DevOps
- Implement data security, RBAC, and access controls in Fabric and Power BI.
- Define CI/CD and deployment strategies for data pipelines and BI artifacts.
- Support data governance initiatives including metadata management and auditability.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Guide and mentor data engineers, BI developers, and analysts.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and IT teams.
- Drive data roadmap, priorities, and delivery commitments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI roles.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (mandatory).
- Strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience building data pipelines and lakehouse architectures.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and analytics patterns.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Azure Data services (ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL, ADLS).
- Exposure to real-time analytics and streaming data.
- Knowledge of AI/ML-ready data preparation.
- Microsoft Fabric or Power BI certifications.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
