Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst / Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in HR processes (Hire-to-Retire, Time & Attendance, Learning Management) and experience working with custom-built HR applications developed by internal IT teams. The role requires a mix of HR domain knowledge, system design, creative thinking, and AI/automation awareness to enhance HR digital transformation initiatives and deliver intuitive employee experiences.


Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & HR Process Design

  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements across recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance, time & attendance, learning, and exit processes.
  • Work with internal IT teams to translate business needs into functional specifications for custom HR applications.
  • Perform gap analysis between current processes and desired outcomes, recommending innovative solutions.
  • Ensure system designs align with HR policies, compliance, and labor laws.

Techno-Functional Consulting & Application Development

  • Partner with internal IT developers to design and configure custom HR applications.
  • Support application testing, validation, and UAT to ensure functional accuracy.
  • Contribute to data model design, workflow automation, and integration strategies across HR modules (Hire-to-Retire, T&A, LMS).
  • Define requirements for API integrations with payroll, finance, and other enterprise applications.
  • Identify opportunities for AI/automation (e.g., automated onboarding workflows, attendance anomaly detection, chatbot-based employee queries).

Creative Thinking, AI & Automation

  • Apply creative problem-solving to design HR applications that improve usability and employee experience.
  • Explore AI-driven use cases like natural language processing for HR service requests, predictive attrition modeling, and personalized learning recommendations.
  • Recommend and oversee implementation of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to reduce manual effort in HR operations.
  • Evaluate new technologies and propose pilots/POCs for digital HR innovation.

Reporting, Analytics & Visualization

  • Work with IT to design HR dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or custom reporting tools.
  • Develop visual storytelling dashboards to help leadership monitor workforce trends, attendance patterns, and learning adoption.
  • Enable HR leaders to leverage AI-augmented analytics for strategic decision-making.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead HR technology initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders and IT.
  • Coordinate workshops, requirement discussions, and solution demos.
  • Manage timelines, risks, and deliverables for HR system projects.
  • Act as the liaison between HR, IT, and business leaders to ensure smooth adoption of HR applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Techno-Functional Consultant in HR domain.
  • Strong understanding of HR lifecycle processes (hire-to-retire, payroll, T&A, learning, exit).
  • Hands-on experience in custom HR application development projects with IT teams.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, SQL queries, and workflow automation.
  • Strong analytical and visualization skills (Power BI or equivalent).
  • Exposure to AI/automation concepts (NLP, chatbots, predictive analytics, RPA).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with integration of HR applications with ERP/finance systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) for HR solutions.
  • Knowledge of HR data governance, privacy, and compliance.
  • Project management certifications (Agile, PMP, Prince2).
