We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in cloud-based system administration and exposure to software development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the high availability, performance, and efficiency of our e-commerce platforms by collaborating across Engineering and IT Operations teams.

Position Details
- Evaluate and implement best practices for deploying and managing applications in cloud environments, specifically using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant PHP and infrastructure solutions within the GCP ecosystem.
- Continuously improve infrastructure and application performance through collaboration with the broader Technology team.
- Educate the technology team and embed DevOps practices to enhance reliability and performance.
- Collect operating system data and report performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Manage cloud system maintenance and debug production issues as they arise.
- Perform incident response and root cause analysis to resolve platform issues.
Technical Requirements & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with software development and a deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices, including service level objectives (SLOs).
- Proficiency in high-level scripting languages and automation tools.
